(Satire) Why I Left FaZe Clan Less Than A Day After Signing

Former FaZe member shares his disappointing experience.

August 27th, 2021, was the day I joined FaZe Clan… and left it.

It is not unusual for FaZe to pick up young people in the scene, in fact, their youngest signing was at the time 12-year old Patrick “H1ghSky1” (It just so happens to be illegal to sign someone below 13 years old…)

I was signed and given the freedom to choose my expertise. Of course, I elected myself as the clan’s first ever content writer, and it has gone horribly wrong.

Although I gave it my all and published an article within 2 hours of my signing’s announcement, I was treated poorly by the entire clan. They never reposted my first ever piece (which is supposed to be something exciting). I also sent a Direct Message (DM) to SEVERAL members of FaZe, including team owner Nordan “Rain” Shat, CS:GO pro and model Helvjis “broky” Saukants, and VALORANT pro Andrej “babybay” Francisty. Ironically, NONE of them returned my messages.

I even went as far as publicly tweeting out at broky to check his DMs but he pretended to not see my tweet and further ignored me.

Above not getting any responses to messages, I was never acknowledged anywhere. I was never welcomed onto the team and never properly announced. The only time my name was posted anywhere on their social media was when they went on with their lie that my contract was terminated. However, I would not let myself be kicked from such a team, so I took the initiative of leaving prior to contract termination, and even then, they never properly said their farewells to not give me twitter interactions.

FaZe Clan Farewell Tweet

All in all, it was a toxic workplace that people really do overhype. It has given me more reasons to dislike FaZe Clan and I will make sure to never associate with them again.
