Timmy “iiTzTimmy” An is a 21 year old Korean-American FPS Twitch streamer, and well, the best way to introduce him in a single sentence is that he’s pretty damn good at what he does.

Saturday, August 14th, Timmy took on a challenge, attempting to reach Apex Predator rank all the way down from Bronze. There’s a catch though — he will do this in a single stream. Solo queuing. The rapidly growing streamer succeeded at a similar challenge earlier this year in March, where he went from Bronze to Master in a 33-hour stream. This time, though, the challenge was a lot more intimidating, reaching the Apex Predator rank means that he is amongst the top 750 players in the world (which places him in the top 0.0000075% of currently active players, as of June 2021!)

And 54 hours later… he does it

After the streamer consecutively played Apex Legends ranked for 54 and a half hours, where he only took breaks to eat and use the restroom — all of which took almost no time — and did not sleep, he achieved his goal, obviously breaking the world record. This isn’t the first Apex Legends world record the streamer has set, either. He also held the most damage dealt in a single game, at 9,069 hitpoints, until recently broken by fellow Apex Legends content creator RakyThought, who managed to deal a whopping 10,864 hitpoints worth of damage! You can view the full world record match on the YouTuber’s channel here).

This isn’t the only W worth mentioning

Timmy finished the challenge in front of nearly 150,000 viewers, which triples his last personal best concurrent viewership number. He also managed to gain over 100,000 followers and 13,000 subscribers during the stream.

Currently, he’s on the trending tab of Twitter, where the entirety of the gaming community congratulate and acknowledge his insane milestone.

and so many more popular and well respected names in the community … !

It is not suggested you attempt this. While this may not seem to cause short-term affects, forcing your body awake for 54 hours has severe long-term consequences. The recommended amount of sleep for an average adult age 18–60 is 7 hours a night (no longer than 17 hours awake), as per the CDC.

Sleep tight, Legend.
