Earlier this year in April, Cloud9 moved Eric “Xeppaa” Bach and Ricky “Floppy” Kemery to its Valorant division, Cloud9 Blue, after the organization’s withdrawal from the CS:GO scene. The Valorant team showed some promising results at first, especially for a new roster, placing 3rd at Valorant Championship Tour Stage 2. However, as of late, the team has had a performance decline, causing speculations about the team looking for a replacement for the young American FPS prodigy. You can read more about that here from Upcomer.

While Floppy is still contracted to Cloud9, it seems that he was allowed to explore his options. In the meantime, he will return to CS:GO, where he will be competing with Extra Salt for the upcoming ESEA Cash Cup this weekend, as announced on the team’s twitter page.

Floppy will compete alongside most of his former teammates (oSee, JT, and Sonic) where they all played together during their time at Cloud9 CS:GO and ATK Arena. Although it has not yet been confirmed, floppy will substitute in for Justin “FaNg” Coakley, who simply tweeted out “✌️” 10 minutes after the announcement.
